Did you know you can use your Garmin watch to transfer a workout to the CorSync app?
NOTE: The Garmin watch does not transmit real time HR data, and cannot be used to record live
HR on the Workout tab in the CorSync app. You must use a Bluetooth HR monitor to
get real time HR data.
Step 1 – Install Garmin Connect app and pair
1. On your phone, go to the app store and install Garmin Connect.
2. Open up the Connect app and create a new account with Garmin Connect, or
login if you have an existing account.
3. In the Garmin Connect app, tap Browse all compatible devices. Select your
Garmin device.
4. Fill in your personal information and tap Next.
5. The Connect app should be searching for your device. Check the watch, you may
need to tap the check mark to Pair.
6. On your phone tap Yes to pair.
7. You will receive a notification on your phone. Tap Pair and Connect.
8. Complete the setup on your phone by following the remaining steps.
Step 2 – Setup NuvitaCorSync app
1. Go to the app store on your phone, and install Nuvita CorSync.
2. Open the CorSync app and create an account (or login if you already have a
Nuvita CorSync account). If you are new to Corsync::
a. Tap Create Account at the bottom of the login screen.
b. Enter your org code. If you do not know the org code check with your
trainer. Tap the “Continue” button on the bottom of the screen.
c. Complete the next steps by entering your email address, enter the
password you wish to use (minimum 6 characters, at least one letter and
one number), enter the rest of your info and agree to the terms.
3. When the CorSync app opens up, allow the Location permission.
4. You can ignore the screen that is scanning for the Nuvita HR monitor if you do
not have a Nuvita monitor.
5. Tap the More menu at the bottom right of the CorSync app, then tap Garmin. Tap
Continue to Consent to Garmin sharing information with Nuvita.
6. Login with your Garmin email and password (the same login credentials you used
for the Garmin Connect app). When you complete this step, Garmin should be
toggled ON in the More menu of the CorSync app, indicating that the link is
active.
Congratulations! Your Garmin is all set up and ready for you to use.
How to record and save a heart rate session on your Garmin:
In order to record heart rate sessions and send them to CorSync, you must use the
Garmin watch to start the timer, workout, stop the timer to save the session, then sync
the Garmin watch with your phone.
1. Record a timer workout on your Garmin watch. These steps may vary for different
models of Garmin watch, refer to the watch manual on how to record a timer
workout. You must start/stop/save the timer in order to record a workout.
2. Important: Sync the watch with the Garmin Connect app on your smart phone.
Make sure the phone and watch are within ten feet of each other.
Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone and the Garmin watch
should sync as soon as the app is opened. You will see the sync icon
spinning at the top of the app while the sync is in progress. If it does not sync,
make sure that Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings. Your data will
transfer from Garmin to Nuvita CorSync in a few minutes.
